YWCA Bristol Teen Pregnancy Classes
YWCA Bristol offers free, ongoing classes on healthy pregnancy, labor, and delivery. Classes meet once per week. The classes are open to mothers-to-be age 19 and younger in their first pregnancy. Fathers and family may also attend the classes and activities. Transportation may be available. For more information call 423-968-9444.

Quit Tobacco Now
Quit Tobacco Now is a smoking cessation hotline for those interested in breaking the tobacco habit. Hotline operators will assist you in developing a plan to stop smoking and they will offer a variety of support options. Call 1-800-QUIT NOW (784-8669) to get started.

VITA - Volunteer Income Tax Assistance
October 15th is the deadline to apply for the Economic Stimulus Payment. Even if you didn’t file a tax return you may still be eligible to apply for the stimulus payment. Call Joe Durant at 378-2939 (leave a voice mail if Joe is not there) to schedule an appointment with SCKCDI’s VITA program. Walk-ins are welcome.

Computer Classes
The FreshStart Foundation is now offering FREE computer classes on:
- Tuesdays & Thursdays from 10-11am and 2-3pm
- Thursdays 6-7pm
Whether
you have a basic knowledge
of computers or none whatsoever, these classes will prove very beneficial.
Joe Durant with South Central Kingsport Development Community, Inc. (SCKCDI) holds the classes, which are self-paced, showing students how to:
- Use Windows
- Access the Internet for job searches
- Type a resume
- Start an e-mail account
- Send an attachment
