Our Mission We affirm that shelter is a basic human necessity and we are dedicated to provide safe and affordable housing opportunities to residents living in the Greater Kingsport area. We believe that blighted areas undermine the vibrancy of our community and therefore we are committed to acting as a catalyst for successful redevelopment efforts in the community.
			What We Do The Kingsport Housing & Redevelopment Authority takes pride in working with citizens and agency officials to provide housing to low and moderate income families and individuals. KHRA is composed of 583 units of family and elderly housing, 1,155 units of Section 8 and is the property manager for 24 units at Green Valley Manor located in Northeast Tennessee. Our public housing is made up of six (6) primary developments: Lee, Riverview, Cloud, Dogwood, Holly Hills and Tiffany Court. In addition, we manage an assisted elderly development, consisting of 48 units at Holston Terrace, funded under the Section 8/202 program.
